Keep an open mind Part 1 of 3

We went to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull the other day. I really, really, really wanted to like it. I cheered when they did the first sequence with his hat, I cheered when he finally showed up, I cheered when his original love interest showed up, and I cheered when it was finally over and we could go home.

But, before the movie (which I recommend you wait to see on DVD) there was a preview for a movie. The graphics were amazing, and they made Martin go "OOOOOOOOOOOhhhhh, I want to see that!" and they made me say, "Ah, crap...."

But the movie was a sequel, so of course Martin begged to rent the first part of the series. I agreed (but figured I would just spend the time on the laptop or let him watch it alone). But I watched it. And I liked it. And I am avoiding telling you what the name of the movie is because I am embarrassed for myself.

The color and graphics were amazing, there was actually a storyline, it was violent but not gory, and I actually want to know what happens next.

You are crazy, Indy was awesome! I reccomend it to any that has seen and liked the first 3. I go to very few movies because most bore the hell out of me. I was excited about this flick and it lived up to my expectations.

What is not not to like about a bad guy with long white hair who wants to take over the world? I hope they win. Heh. Hellboy 2 is done by the guy who did Pan's Labyrinth, which was freaky excellent...and I read somewhere that he uses as little CGI as possible for his creatures to make him realistic.

I bet you didn't know that I knew that! HA!

snort...to make the creatures seem realistic...I hope "he" is real already. But then, maybe he is an alien or something.

a) Yes, I am crazy, there really is no point in arguing that.

b) I'm glad someone liked it enough to feel that it was worth $7.50 to see.

jo: Yep, coming out soon!

cami: We did have a feeling that it might be your thing.

dapoppins: You continue to amaze me with the random facts you know! :)

dapopp x2: Yes, I figured that out, but thanks for fixing it!

holly: Yes, leave Indiana Bones to DVD, you will need to rewind it, when you groan over a certain part (and they you will not have heard the dialogue). (Hey pretty girl!)

loveyh: Ok, go ahead. I hope you like it better than we did. (I'm still embarrassed about Hellboy.)

Long Live Indiana Jones.

I surprisingly impressed by Hellboy, too. It was selected for my patient husband after a long string of Jane Austens, I believe.

But I doubt I'm running to the theater for the sequel.

I've never seen more than the last 5 minutes of that movie. Everyone tells me it's great but out of context it looked awful and cheesy. Is it really that good?

I am speaking of Hellboy.

The latest Indy needs its heart ripped out by an overzealous priest.

meleah: Yes, yes. but I'd rather see the old ones.

stephanie: Well, then your hubby can go with us to see it! :)

chibell: Really? You want me to admit, again, that I liked this movie? Fine. Yes. It was a good movie.
